Registered Nurse - Maternity - FT Days
About The Position
Munson Healthcare is seeking a Registered Nurse for their Maternity Unit at Munson Medical Center's Family Birth Center. This unit is part of a larger birth center that includes the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and the Healthy Futures program. The Maternity Unit has 19 beds and features spacious, private birthing rooms equipped with necessary technical equipment. These rooms are designed to accommodate family presence and learning, with sleeping arrangements for one additional adult to support new parents. Nurses in this role are considered respected clinical experts, mentors, advocates, and leaders, playing a central role in patient care.
Requirements
- Licensed RN in the State of Michigan
- Experience in a specific clinical area (e.g., Med/Surg, ICU, OB) is preferred.
- Must be vaccinated or have lab-confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella.
- Must receive a flu vaccine during the flu season in the year of hire and annually thereafter, or receive an approved medical or religious exemption.

- Experience in Maternity or OB clinical area.
Responsibilities
- Provide care in the 19-bed Maternity Unit.
- Support patients and their babies in private birthing rooms.
- Utilize technical equipment to support birth experiences.
- Assist families in learning and practicing new parenting skills.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals within the Family Birth Center.
