About The Position

Holy Cross Health is seeking a Nurse Supervisor – Maternity Suites to serve as a clinical leader in our Maternity Suites unit. The Nurse Supervisor is responsible for coordinating patient care at the unit level, ensuring high-quality care, staff development, and operational efficiency. This role supports the Mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Health by fostering service excellence in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Requirements

  • Current Maryland RN license required
  • BLS certification required; additional life support certifications based on unit needs
  • Specialty certification (department-specific) required within six months of hire
  • BSN required; Master’s preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of acute care experience in maternity or a related specialty
  • Advanced computer skills, including data entry and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise clinical and non-clinical staff, ensuring high standards of patient care
  • Make cost-effective operational decisions related to staffing, supplies, and resource utilization
  • Manage staff assignments and schedules to ensure appropriate coverage
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards
  • Facilitate staff orientation, training, and ongoing development
  • Provide coaching, performance feedback, and participate in staff evaluations
  • Support the development and implementation of patient care standards, quality initiatives, and safety plans
  • Serve as a professional role model and resource for clinical and operational guidance
