CCP specializes in providing comprehensive cardiology care and currently has over 30 locations throughout the Philadelphia region. We are currently hiring for a full-time Registered Nurse Manager for our CTA department at our Springfield, PA office. Traveling is required as needed. Please note this role is entitled to a $500 sign on bonus.

Requirements

  • Current, unrestricted PA Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience in cardiac nursing, interventional cardiology, or radiology.
  • Deep understanding of CCTA workflows, cardiac hemodynamics, and contrast media pharmacology.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of accreditation standards.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to foster collaboration across teams.
  • Critical Thinking: Ability to make rapid, accurate decisions in high-stress situations.
  • Effective Communication: Clear coordination with cardiologists and the ability to ease the anxiety of patients and families.
  • Attention to Detail: Precision in documenting patient status and identifying subtle clinical changes.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree (MSN/MHA) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Continually assess patient workflows from initial scheduling and screening through post-procedure discharge and identify potential areas of opportunity, implement changes as indicated and within regulations/guidelines.
  • Maintain/Establish clinical protocols for patient preparation, including beta-blocker and nitroglycerin administration guidelines.
  • Manage daily scheduling to optimize scanner utilization while maintaining patient safety margins.
  • Oversee emergency readiness protocols for contrast reactions, extravasations, and acute cardiac events.
  • Coordinate care tracking to ensure timely reporting of critical imaging results to referring physicians.
  • Recruit, train, and evaluate a specialized team of cardiac imaging registered nurses, CT technologists and support staff.
  • Conduct competencies on peripheral IV insertion, ECG interpretation, and radiation safety protocols.
  • Monitor accreditation efforts for the imaging center and assist Lead CT technologist with efforts of completion.
  • Track program metrics including patient wait times, image quality technical failures, volumes and adverse events.
  • Audit clinical charts to verify accurate documentation of medication administration and allergy screenings.
  • Serve as a clinical resource for complex patient screenings, resolving issues regarding renal function or arrhythmias.
  • Develop/revise educational materials detailing pre-test instructions, fasting requirements, and post-procedure hydration as needed.
  • Investigate patient complaints to implement service recovery strategies and improve patient satisfaction scores.
