Registered Nurse - Manager
About The Position
This is a 13-week contract assignment for a Lactation Consultant working 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday. The role supports both inpatient and outpatient settings, providing advanced lactation care, education, and consultation for patients. The clinician will assess complex breastfeeding needs, develop interdisciplinary care plans, and collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal maternal and infant outcomes. This position requires strong clinical expertise in lactation management and the ability to lead and guide care across multiple care settings. No weekends are required, but holiday rotation may apply.
Requirements
- Minimum 1+ year of IBCLC experience.
- International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) required (no equivalents accepted).
- Minimum 2500 hours as a breastfeeding/lactation consultant required.
- Active Massachusetts license required (RN, OT, PT, SLP, or Pharmacist acceptable if qualified).
- BLS (AHA) certification required.
- Experience with inpatient lactation programs required.
- Experience with outpatient prenatal and postpartum lactation education required.
- Must reside outside 50-mile radius (no local candidates).
- All certifications must be in hand at submission (no pending).
- Skills checklist and 1 supervisory reference required.
- Must have reliable transportation (own vehicle required).
