About The Position

This position leads daily operations and workflow for the nursing unit, ensuring safe staffing, efficient care coordination, and high-quality patient care delivery across the interdisciplinary team. The role ensures compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and clinical policies while maintaining accurate clinical documentation within Electronic Health Records (EHR/EMR). The manager hires, trains, coaches, and evaluates nursing staff, supporting professional development and strengthening collaboration to deliver safe, effective direct patient care. Additionally, the role identifies and resolves barriers affecting patient care services while managing departmental resources and budgets to maintain operational efficiency and quality outcomes. The manager monitors departmental budgets and approves expenditures to ensure responsible resource management while maintaining operational efficiency and high standards of patient care.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Required professional licensure/certification AND 3 years of experience and 1 year of cumulative leadership experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • BSN
  • Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 3+ years OR RN experience with 1+ years of leadership experience
