About The Position

Provides strategic and operational leadership for nursing departments, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, quality standards, patient satisfaction initiatives, and financial objectives. Leads staff development, recruitment, mentoring, and performance management while driving process improvement, collaboration, service excellence, and high-quality patient care across the organization.

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Nice To Haves

  • Masters degree in a related field preferred.
  • Certification in specialty desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to carry out the strategic vision for Departments he/she is responsible for which align with System and Department of Nursing Mission and Vision.
  • Assures there are organized plans in place for selection of staff, evaluation of staff, orientation of new staff, continued education and development of staff, competency evaluation of staff, appropriate scheduling of staff based on patient acuity.
  • Is responsible for achievement of patient satisfaction (PressGaney and CGCAHPS) action plans to achieve targets for their areas of responsibility.
  • Participates in and leads hospital and department committees
  • Performs other duties as assigned
