This position requires an active South Dakota RN license and a nursing degree from an accredited college or university. The role demands a minimum of 3 years of recent Director of Nursing (DON) experience and a minimum of 3 years of nursing supervisory/leadership experience in a nursing home, hospital, or related healthcare setting. Current CPR/BLS certification is also required. The successful candidate will possess strong knowledge of federal and state regulations governing nursing services and long-term care operations, along with experience managing nursing operations, staffing, admissions, performance evaluations, policies, and disciplinary processes. Proficiency in QAPI, performance improvement, facility assessments, and regulatory compliance is essential. Strong leadership, clinical oversight, communication, and interdisciplinary management skills are crucial for this role. The position also requires participation in on-call coverage as needed and successful completion of agency and facility-required background checks and drug screenings. Please note that facility screening results may take 7–10 business days, and the candidate cannot begin employment until facility clearance is received. The role involves 5x8-hour day shifts.
