Registered Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse
About The Position
Monte Nido Rivertowns is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join their team at their residential treatment program in Irvington, NY. This program exclusively serves adults with Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, or Exercise Addiction. The treatment approach focuses on restoring physiological and nutritional balance, implementing healthy eating and exercise routines, eliminating harmful behaviors, and developing motivation and treatment engagement. The objective is to help clients understand their disorder and its effects, and what is necessary for their personal recovery.
Requirements
- Active license as Licensed Practical Nurse (or be license-eligible).
- Must hold active CPR/BLS prior to starting work. (We can arrange training if needed).
Nice To Haves
- Experience in residential or inpatient behavioral health and mental health settings is helpful.
- Any past work with those overcoming Eating Disorders is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Obtaining and recording vitals as needed.
- Monitoring and reporting unusual client behavior.
- Medication administration.
- Document promptly and properly.
- Model normalized dietary habits by eating meals to completion when working during mealtimes.
