About The Position

You will act as a medical guide during crises and a consistent advocate for individuals during critical care appointments. In this role, you aren’t just a nurse; you are a teacher and a coordinator who builds lasting relationships with medical providers and families to ensure well-managed, proactive healthcare is received.

Requirements

BSN or ASN from an accredited nursing program.
Active state nursing license in good standing, valid driver's license in good standing required.
At least 1-2 year of general nursing experience.
Current CPR and First Aid (FA) certification.
Proficiency with computers and technology is required for daily documentation and task management.
Ability to push, pull, and lift at least 50 lbs
Strong critical thinking, time management, and the ability to teach individuals from diverse cultures and learning styles

Nice To Haves

Experience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities is highly valued.

Responsibilities

Monitor daily documentation for medical needs, identify health trends promptly, and perform health monitoring of documentation to ensure high scores in quality audits.
Coordinate with pharmacies and doctors, complete medical appointments, and provide advocacy at critical care consultations.
Provide hands-on care when needed, including wound care, ostomy care, catheter management, and monitoring critical care medical needs.
Teach medication administration refresher courses, lead clinicals for CMAs and Medication Managers, and provide on-site instruction for staff regarding care plans and medical protocols.
Update and maintain care plans and medical protocols while utilizing technology (Therap) for accurate documentation and regulatory compliance.
