About The Position

WE ARE SEEKING A COMPASSIONATE, DETAIL-ORIENTED AND DEDICATED DERMATOLOGY NURSE TO JOIN OUR GROWING SURGICAL AND CLINICAL TEAM IN 2026. YOU WILL PROVIDE SPECIALIZED CARE FOR PATIENTS WITH A WIDE RANGE OF SKIN CONDITIONS, FROM CHRONIC MEDICAL DISEASES LIKE PSORIASIS TO SURGICAL AND COSMETIC TREATMENTS. THIS ROLE REQUIRES A BLEND OF CLINICAL EXPERTISE, PATIENT EDUCATION, AND TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY IN DERMATOLOGICAL PROCEDURES. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL THRIVE IN A FAST-PACED ENVIRONMENT AND COLLABORATE EFFECTIVELY WITH A MULTIDISCIPLINARY TEAM TO ENSURE EXCELLENT PATIENT OUTCOMES.

Requirements

  • RN: Current Registered Nurse license issued by the Mississippi Board of Nursing.
  • OR LPN: Current Licensed Practical Nurse license issued by the Mississippi Board of Nursing.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience working as an RN in a medical-surgical setting is required; relevant new graduates may be considered.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification required for LPN; CPR or ACLS preferred for RN.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with problem-focused skin assessments and document detailed patient histories in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
  • Assist physician with Mohs surgery, biopsies, excisions, and cosmetic treatments.
  • Educate patients on skin health, treatment plans, and post-operative wound care.
  • Administer injections, manage biologic medication authorizations, follow up on patient concerns and thoroughly document provider visits with patients.
  • Manage patient scheduling, follow-up results, and act as a liaison between the practice and pharmacy or insurance providers.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of standard nursing principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Ability to make sound decisions based on clinical nursing judgment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively educate patients and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
