About The Position

Riverside Community Care has an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse to join our Outpatient Somerville team! The RN/LPN nurse is an integral part of the outpatient interdisciplinary treatment team. The nurse is responsible for providing direct care and care coordination for persons served primarily receiving medicated assisted treatment (MAT) but also supporting the needs of the general client population. This includes all duties related to patient care, such as medical screenings and assessments, follows up on lab work and referrals or admissions, and consults to other team members. Major responsibilities include assisting with filling prescriber orders, administering medications (buprenorphine and Vivitrol), and monitoring vital signs. The RN/LPN would provide guidance, education, and support in persons served recovery to allow them to maintain their physical and emotional health and live safely in the community.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or higher required (Registered Nurse)
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Licensure as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse required.
  • Must be in good standing with the Board of Registration of Nursing.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ nursing experience required.
  • Minimum of 1 year working in a behavioral health setting required.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills required.
  • Basic computer fluency (Microsoft Office) required.
  • Driver's license required.
  • Must be able to lift ten pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with addictions and Medication Assisted Treatment strongly preferred.
