About The Position
The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within the Montana State Hospital (MSH). MSH provides inpatient psychiatric treatment for adults with serious mental illness and is the only psychiatric hospital in Montana that services people admitted from communities across the state. Registered Nurse Leads provide assistance and support to clients in maintaining a therapeutic environment. This position is responsible for monitoring and evaluating nursing services including providing immediate assistance, consultation and problem solving during crisis and high-risk situations. Coordinates and reviews investigation of unusual incidents, patient grievances, complaints and allegations of abuse; and supervising assigned staff and patience services. Additionally, shift differential may be available, and one meal is provided per shift.
Requirements
- Ability to analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solutions to solve problems.
- Knowledge of nursing, medications, rehabilitation, treatment planning and techniques for psychiatric illnesses.
- Ability to use critical thinking and sound judgement in emergent hospital setting situations.
- Skilled in personnel management and supervision
- RN Associate Degree
- Currently Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Montana
Nice To Haves
- Two years of experience providing supervision in a health care setting preferred.
