About The Position

We are hiring a Registered Nurse Lactation for Ascension St. Vincent's Southside Hospital in Jacksonville, FL. This is a full-time day shift position. The role involves delivering high-quality, patient-centered care, implementing patient care plans, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, executing physician and nursing orders, and leading discharge planning.

Requirements

Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire required.

Nice To Haves

Certification specializing in Lactation preferred.
Certification specializing in The S.T.A.B.L.E Program preferred.
Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy ofPediatrics (AAP) preferred.

Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care by following established clinical standards and evidence-based protocols.
Drive the implementation of patient care plans, pro-actively monitoring status and documenting progress to ensure optimal outcomes.
Act as the primary coordinator for multidisciplinary teams, facilitating seamless communication and well-integrated treatment.
Execute physician and nursing orders with precision, serving as a critical link in the clinical decision-making process.
Lead the discharge planning process in collaboration with the health-care team to ensure a safe and successful transition for every patient.
