Registered Nurse - Lactation Consultant (RN)
About The Position
As a Lactation Consultant RN, you will provide expert guidance, education, and encouragement to new mothers as they begin their feeding journey. You will offer bedside support during hospital stays and follow-up care after discharge, helping families build confidence during this important transition. The role extends beyond direct patient care. You will be a resource for patients, families, nurses, physicians, and the community, promoting evidence-based practices that support maternal and newborn health. The work combines clinical expertise with education, coaching, advocacy, problem-solving, and relationship-building, supporting families beyond their hospital stay.
Requirements
- Active Indiana RN license or valid compact RN license.
- Lactation Consultant certification, or eligibility if applicable.
