About The Position
WHSN offers exclusive per diem and contract staffing opportunities at 23 Critical Access Hospitals throughout the state. We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel contract opportunity in beautiful Central Washington! Join a supportive team at a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital with a Family Birthing Place featuring LDRP/Postpartum care and a Level 1 Nursery. This is a great opportunity for nurses looking to gain meaningful rural healthcare experience while enjoying the outdoor lifestyle and small-town charm of Ellensburg, located just 2 hours from Seattle.
Requirements
- Active RN license (WA license or compact eligible)
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
- Previous L&D experience required
- CAH/Rural hospital experience
- Comfortable working independently in a rural hospital environment
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care for Labor & Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum patients
- Monitor maternal and fetal wellbeing throughout labor and delivery
- Support patients and families through all stages of childbirth
- Collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe patient care
- Respond effectively in emergency situations
