About The Position
The Registered Nurse in Labor & Delivery is responsible for managing and delivering care for high-risk obstetric patients. This involves labor management, delivery support, and postpartum care, following protocols and patient care standards in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Current BLS, NRP, and Intermediate FHM (AWHONN) certifications.
- Experience in labor management and delivery of high-risk OB patients.
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR system.
- Ability to assist as a second set of hands for newborn reception and recovery.
Responsibilities
- Provide care in active labor with a patient ratio of 1:1.
- Manage non-active laboring patients with a patient ratio of 1:2.
- Support antepartum patients with a patient ratio of 1:2-3, based on acuity.
- Assist in the OR and perform triage for OB patients.
- Conduct cervical checks and interpret fetal monitoring strips.
