Registered Nurse - Labor/Delivery
About The Position
St. Luke’s is hiring a Registered Nurse for its Labor & Delivery unit at Meridian Hospital. The unit provides comprehensive, evidence-based care during labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum recovery. Nurses care for routine and high-risk obstetric patients, using advanced fetal monitoring and obstetric technology to support safe, high-quality outcomes. The team emphasizes collaboration, mutual support, shared accountability, and ongoing professional development through education, specialty certification, shared governance, and quality initiatives. Meridian Hospital is a Six-Time Magnet® Designated Recipient for Nursing Excellence. Full-time and part-time night positions are available, with a listed shift of 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. The unit includes 10 labor beds, 10 postpartum beds, four triage rooms, two dedicated operating room suites on the floor, and three recovery bays, and handles approximately 125 births per month. Nurses adhere to AWHONN standard staffing ratios.
Requirements
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in nursing.
- At least 1 year of RN experience.
- Current RN licensure from the state of practice.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) provider certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
Nice To Haves
- Labor and Delivery experience is preferred.
- National certifications such as C-EFM or RNC-OB.
