About The Position

Palmetto General Hospital is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join their Labor and Delivery Department. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional care to mothers and newborns throughout all stages of the birthing process, ensuring safety, comfort, and positive patient experiences.

Requirements

• Current Florida Registered Nurse license required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Must clear background and drug test required.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum one (1) year of Labor & Delivery experience preferred.
• NRP and AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care during labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery.
• Monitor fetal heart rates, vital signs, and patient progress.
• Administer medications and assist physicians during deliveries and procedures.
• Educate patients and families on labor processes, newborn care, and postpartum recovery.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality care.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
