About The Position

Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care and maintains professional accountability for care provided to assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers and coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with Mercy’s mission, values, and service standards.

This role is with Mercy Hospital Perry Labor and Delivery in Perryville, Missouri. The shift varies. The posting describes both full-time and part-time opportunities.

Requirements

• Graduate from a school of nursing with an Associate’s Degree, Diploma, or BSN.
• Obtain and maintain a current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure where nursing duties are performed, and meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Hold Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association, or successfully complete the course within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods during each shift.
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
