Requirements

• Diploma/degree from an accredited nursing school (a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is strongly preferred, or agreement to enroll within six months of employment)
• Registered Nurse license to practice in Maryland or the ability to obtain a Maryland license based on timeframe of licensing board
• 1-2+ years of clinical nursing experience is strongly preferred; new graduates with focused practicum or technician experience in L&D will be considered.
• Healthcare Provider-Level CPR certification
• Neonatal Resuscitation certification (NRP)
• EfM (external fetal monitoring)certification within 18 months of hire

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
• Focused practicum or technician experience in L&D for new graduates

Responsibilities

• Independently perform clinical care in a family centered environment.
• Provide evidence-based, high quality care to mothers and newborns, with couplet care, and newborn nursery care supported.
• Serve as a resource for other team members.
