About The Position

This is a 13-week assignment for a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN). The position requires a clinician to be on-call and work every other weekend. The unit is OB Triage/Testing, Labor/Antepartum High Risk, with 10 OB Triage Rooms, 10 LDR Rooms, 3 OR suites, and 4 PACU rooms. The average daily deliveries are around 7, but can increase up to 14 patients with inductions and high-risk antepartum patients. OB Triage also averages 4-5 third-trimester testing patients daily, along with an influx of triage patients. The facility is a Magnet hospital, a Level II Trauma center, and recognized as one of the best hospitals in Alaska, with a total of 407 staffed beds.

Requirements

• AK RN license in hand for Auto Offer.
• Minimum 2 years of experience.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification.
• AWHONN Intermediate certification.
• AWHONN Advanced certification.
• NRP certification.
• Proficiency in Per UD skills.
• Clinician's permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility.
• Must have license in hand for Auto Offer.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in OB Triage/Testing, Labor/Antepartum High Risk units.

• Float within scope to like units if needed to meet facility needs.
