About The Position

This role is for a Registered Nurse in the Labor and Delivery department at the Women and Infants Tower in Indianapolis, IN. The position is PRN with a rotating schedule. The nurse will provide high-level clinical nursing for all deliveries, prioritizing safety and excellence. This includes designing, implementing, and adjusting real-time patient care plans, monitoring and communicating vital patient condition changes to ensure mother and baby safety, serving as the central point for the multidisciplinary team, and managing the birth experience from executing physician orders to planning for safe discharge.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

Nice To Haves

Advanced Life Support. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Certification specializing in The S.T.A.B.L.E Program.
Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).
Previous Labor and Delivery Experience is preferred

Responsibilities

Provide high-level clinical nursing for all deliveries, prioritizing safety and excellence.

Serve as the central point for the multidisciplinary team, coordinating physicians, specialists, and support staff for seamless, holistic care.
Precisely and empathetically manage the birth experience, from executing physician orders to meticulously planning for safe discharge.
