About The Position

The Registered Nurse provides labor and delivery care in a 14-bed labor unit, with 2 operating rooms, 6 recovery bays, and 8 antepartum beds. Patient ratios are 1:2 for labor and 1:4 for antepartum. The unit typically staffs 1 charge nurse and 3–4 RNs on day and night shifts and operates on a rotating weekend schedule. Royal blue scrubs are required.

The role includes managing labor and delivery care, administering medications, monitoring patients’ vital signs, assisting with vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections, and providing postpartum care. Equipment and systems used include GE EFM, CPN, and Meditech/Centricity.

Requirements

• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
• Labor management skills.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
• Intermittent Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification.
• Positive, compassionate, and flexible personality fit.

Nice To Haves

• Able to circulate in the Labor and Delivery Operating Room.
