Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery/Postpartum - Night shift
About The Position
Endeavor Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for their Labor and Delivery and Post-Partum unit. This full-time position involves 36 hours per week, with night shifts from 1900 to 0730, including weekend rotations. The role requires on-call duties per unit requirements and potential floating to Post-Partum Evanston Hospital. The nurse will independently provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care, utilizing the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans. Responsibilities include guiding unlicensed assistive personnel, communicating with the healthcare team for optimal patient outcomes, and contributing to safety and patient experience initiatives.
Requirements
- Graduate of a NLN accredited school of nursing required
- BLS/CPR certification for the Healthcare Provider required (American Heart Association)
- Current professional Nursing Licensure in the State of IL required
- 1 year of acute care nursing experience or 1 year labor and delivery/post-partum experience preferred

Responsibilities
- Independently provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care in the LDRP
- Utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care
- Guide and direct assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care
- Communicate and collaborate with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care
- Positively contributing to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experience
