About The Position

This role is for a Registered Nurse in the Labor and Delivery department at Saint Joseph's Hospital in Milwaukee, WI. The position is full-time and operates on the night shift. The nurse will provide direct nursing care, implement patient care plans, monitor and communicate patient condition changes, coordinate care across disciplines, and assess discharge planning needs.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Licensure from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing OR current home state license if considered multi-state/Compact State.
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire required.

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care, implementing patient care plans in accordance with organizational policies and physician orders.
Monitor, record, and communicate changes in patient condition to the appropriate healthcare team members.
Act as the primary coordinator across all disciplines to ensure seamless, well-managed patient care.
Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs in collaboration with the healthcare team.
