The L/D RN is responsible for the assessment, treatment, or care appropriate to the ages of the patients served. They must demonstrate the ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of the patient’s needs, possessing knowledge of growth and development and an understanding of the range of treatment needed for all patient groups. The role requires the ability to work normal/scheduled working hours, including holidays, call-backs, weeknights, weekends, and on-call. The employee agrees to participate in emergencies and community disasters as directed, and as a designated disaster service worker, must assist in times of need. The employee must recognize their affirmative duty to report perceived misconduct. The employee shall work well under pressure, meet multiple and sometimes competing deadlines, and demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors.
