About The Position
The Registered Nurse, using critical thinking skills, coordinates and provides safe, quality care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Assists in organizing patient care activities as assigned.
Requirements
- Graduate of Registered Nurse Program
- None (for inexperienced)
- REGISTERED NURSE License
- BLS/CPR (AMERICAN HEART ASSN)
- Pass EKG test within 180 days of hire
Nice To Haves
- ACLS (AMERICAN HEART ASSN) - WITHIN 180 DAYS OF HIRE (for inexperienced)
- NRP (AMERICAN ACADEMY OF PEDIATRICS - WITHIN 90 days) (for inexperienced)
- AWHONN INTERMEDIATE FETAL MONITORING Course- WITHIN 9 months (for inexperienced)
- ACLS at hire (for experienced)
- NRP at hire (for experienced)
- Proof of current AWHONN Intermediate fetal heart monitoring course at hire or one of following: AWHONN FHM Advanced course, AWHONN FHM Simulation (FHMSIM) Intermediate level C-EFM (NCC-Electronic FM) (for experienced)
Responsibilities
- Assesses physical, psychosocial, educational and growth and development needs of the patient.
- Develops a written plan of care using assessment data.
- Implements nursing care plan.
- Evaluates patient's response to interventions.
- Demonstrates leadership skills
- Assists in organizing Patient Care Activities
