About The Position

Under the direction of the Cardiologist, Radiologist, Surgeon, or Director, this role provides nursing support and nursing processes including patient assessment and intervention during Non-InInvasive Imaging procedures. The Registered Nurse provides direct patient care during the pre-procedural, intra-procedural, and post-procedural phases. This role performs and is responsible for providing conscious sedation and a variety of nursing functions within the Imaging Department, including Nuclear Medicine Stress Test and Non-Invasive Imaging Procedures. The nurse also performs other duties as required.

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, hear and verbally communicate in English to the degree required to perform the job.
• Satisfactory completion of a formal Registered Nursing program as approved by the California Board of Registered Nurses.
• Current State of California Registered Nurse License in Active status.
• Current BLS certification; current ACLS certification.
• Four (4) years minimum, experience as a Registered Nurse in critical care setting (ICU, CCU) in an acute care hospital.
• Critical care skills required.
• Two (2) years minimum, recent conscious sedation experience required.
• Completion of basic 12-lead EKG class (completion date- prior to 60th day of employment) as required.
• Must have adequate back and general health to wear personal protective equipment during procedures.
• Excellent attendance record.

Nice To Haves

• BSN preferred.
• CCRN preferred.
• Non-Invasive Cardiology RN work experience is preferred.
