The Team: Interventional Pain Management at OrthoVirginia focuses on providing advanced, minimally invasive pain relief procedures to help patients manage chronic pain and improve their quality of life. The Role: As a Registered Nurse in the Pain Management Suite at OrthoVirginia, you will play a vital role in providing advanced, non-surgical pain relief options to help patients manage chronic pain and improve their quality of life. You will work closely with a team of dedicated pain management specialists to deliver personalized care tailored to each patient's unique needs.

Requirements

• Completion of BSN or ADN program
• Registered Nursing License
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
• At least 2 years of relative experience required
• Proficiency in monitoring and interpreting cardiac rhythms.
• Previous experience in administering and monitoring moderate sedation.

Responsibilities

• Review medical records, check vital signs, and administer intravenous (IV) fluids or medications as needed.
• Monitor patients' vital signs, administer sedation, and ensure patient safety.
• Assist with spinal injections and other interventional pain management procedures.
• Observe and monitor patients as they recover from sedation, ensuring stable vital signs and providing necessary care and support.
• Quickly identify and address any complications or issues during procedures and communicate effectively with the medical team to ensure patient safety.
• Educate patients about their procedures and post-procedure care, providing instructions on managing pain and any follow-up care needed.
