About The Position
Sentara Careplex in Hampton, VA is seeking a Travel Registered Nurse (RN) for their Medical/Surgical Unit. This is a temporary, full-time, 14-week assignment on the night shift. The unit has a diverse patient population including CHF, Sickle Cell, Renal Failure, Diabetes, Vascular, Sepsis, COPD, Pneumonia, Osteomyelitis w/ Surgical Intervention, and Wound Care, with a specialty in Observation short stay patients. Sentara Careplex Hospital is a 224-bed acute care facility and Certified Primary Stroke Center, offering specialized services in heart and vascular, urologic care, advanced diagnostics and surgical capabilities, a hospitalist program, and a busy emergency department. It also houses the Orthopedic Hospital at Sentara Careplex Hospital. Requirements
- Associates, Bachelors, or diploma in the Nursing Field required.
- Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- NIH stroke scale certification.
- Two or more years of current acute care hospital experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide care to a diverse patient population on a 20-bed Medical/Surgical Unit with a specialty in Observation short stay patients.
- Administer care during the night shift.
