About The Position

The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Texas Health Allen is seeking a Part-Time Registered Nurse (RN) to join their team. This role involves working 12-hour shifts (7 AM - 7 PM) and requires a commitment of 2 shifts per week, including weekends and holidays. The ICU department fosters a teamwork-oriented, family-like atmosphere, offering opportunities for advancement in critical care through cross-training and courses. There is a strong focus on quality and excellence in patient care, with a unique scheduling system that allows bedside staff to participate in formulating the schedule under manager oversight. The department is increasingly utilizing advanced technologies and practices.

Requirements

Diploma of Nursing OR Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
One-year experience as a registered nurse in an ICU setting required.
Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire.
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support - required prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly.
RN must practice within the regulations of the Texas Nurse Practice Act, serve as a role model, intra/interdisciplinary collaborator and coordinator for quality patient care.

Nice To Haves

BSN preferred.
Three (3) years recent ICU experience preferred.
