About The Position

Mobile Health Team Inc. is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for a 13-week travel assignment in Bay City, MI. This role involves providing bedside nursing care, collaborating with physicians on patient care plans, and overseeing ancillary staff. The nurse will be responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of care plans and ensuring patients' ongoing and discharge teaching needs are met. The position also emphasizes professional growth through educational opportunities and mentoring new staff.

Requirements

  • 2+ Years of ICU experience
  • Comfortable with Floating to ED and Step down is required
  • Must have ACLS certification
  • Must have NIHSS certification
  • Must have BLS certification
  • Must have a valid Michigan State License.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • Willingness to participate in continuing education and training programs
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Strong communication, professionalism, and reliability
  • Drug screen and background check (facility required)

Nice To Haves

  • TCAR, TNCC, CCRN, SCRN valid documents are desired
  • Travel Experience is preferred
  • Neuro surgical experience is preferred
  • Open heart experience is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Integrates evidence-based knowledge into practice.
  • Delegates and coordinates tasks and assignments of nursing care.
  • Facilitates/participates in patient conferences.
  • Identifies and provides the means to meet patients’ ongoing and discharge/transfer teaching needs by communicating with the appropriate resource persons and attending discharge/transfer planning conferences.
  • Assumes the responsibility for professional growth by seeking out educational opportunities and utilizing programs in the hospital or elsewhere in the community.
  • Teaches and/or guides professional and ancillary personnel.
  • Precepts/mentors new employees and students.
  • Functions as a team leader to ensure proper patient placement and delegation of assignments.
  • Communicates relevant information in a manner that is understandable and effective.
  • Shows organizational skills through effective planning.
