About The Position

Anchor Hospital is seeking a dynamic and talented Registered Nurse for Intake Assessment and Referrals for the night shift (7pm-7am). Established in 1986, Anchor Hospital specializes in the treatment of behavioral health and addictive disease disorders for teens, adults, and seniors. Our mental health facility in Atlanta, Georgia, is located on a secluded, 55-acre campus, accredited by the Joint Commission. We offer a 24/7 free, confidential psychiatric assessment by Georgia behavioral health professionals and are a proud supporter of the National Action Alliance on Suicide Prevention, providing Georgia behavioral health education and resources. This RN is responsible for delivering quality nursing care to psychiatric and chemically dependent adult, geriatric, and adolescent patients. The role involves assessing the needs of walk-in and phone callers, ensuring their referral to the most appropriate service or resource. Other responsibilities include performing all aspects of the hospital’s assessment and referral process, efficient communication with referral sources, immediate patient/client disposition, arranging hospital transfer/discharge, and connecting patients with community agencies and resources.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
  • 1 year experience as a Registered Nurse.
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia.

Nice To Haves

  • At least 6 months in psychiatric nursing.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver quality nursing care to psychiatric and chemically dependent adult, geriatric, and adolescent patients.
