About The Position

FlexStaff is seeking a bilingual (Mandarin and/or Cantonese) Registered Nurse (RN) with experience and strong knowledge of LHCSA regulations to work full-time as a Nurse Instructor for a certified home care agency located in Brooklyn, NY. This permanent position focuses on teaching the New York State Home Health Aide (HHA) Certification Program and requires frequent travel within Brooklyn and Queens.

Requirements

• Active NYS RN License
• Bilingual fluency in Mandarin and/or Cantonese
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a licensed home care agency
• Ability to travel within Queens and Brooklyn, NY

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of home care aides (HHA/PCA) skills and competency
• Provide in-service training and continuing education (infection control, safety, HIPAA, etc.)
• Orient and educate new aides on agency policies, documentation, and patient care standards
• Perform supervisory visits in the home and document aide performance and care issues
• Develop/update training materials and competency checklists per DOH/regulatory requirements
• Remediate performance gaps and implement corrective action plans with clinical leadership
• Support aide certification/annual requirements (TB, physicals, renewals, attendance tracking)
• Collaborate with coordinators/HR to ensure staffing readiness and compliance for cases
• Maintain required records for audits and surveys (training logs, evaluations, competencies)
