Serve as the clinical resource and consultant for acute and rehabilitative for patients with selected disorders of the gastrointestinal, genitourinary, and integumentary systems, such as alterations in skin, wounds, draining wounds/fistulas, dermal wounds, ostomies, and incontinence. Collaborates and consults with physicians, clinical staff, patients, and families to assist in developing and implementing the wound ostomy continence plan of care. Serves as a resource to staff for patient care needs. Assists in education of patients and families. Participates in clinical research and evidence-based practice as it relates to wound Ostomy continence patient care.
