About The Position

This position involves managing, delegating, and coordinating quality nursing care, assisting in maintaining a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment, and developing effective working relationships with peers, leadership, and the interdisciplinary team. The role requires accountability for professional practice through educational activities, maintaining clinical competency, licensure, certifications, and mandatory education. The nurse will deliver family-centered, child-focused patient care using the nursing process, critical thinking, and evidence-based practice. Responsibilities may include serving as a preceptor, charge nurse, or competency validator, and participating in departmental or hospital-wide committees and task forces. The role also involves supporting organizational change and embodying the Scottish Rite CARE RITE values.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Nursing required
  • Current Texas RN license or eligible for a temporary permit from the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners
  • Competent in Windows OS and the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
  • EPIC experience required
  • American Heart Association BLS
  • PALS certification

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
  • 2 or more years nursing experience preferred
  • Pediatric experience preferred
