About The Position

Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) is seeking a Registered Nurse for an Inpatient PRN Night Shift position. Located in Nashville, Tennessee, VUMC is a leading institution in teaching, discovery, and patient care. The role involves applying the nursing process to plan and implement patient care, including education and continuum of care planning. The nurse will effectively communicate patient/family information to the healthcare team, collaborate on patient goals, and evaluate progress. Professional growth is encouraged through continuous learning. This position is part of the 9 South Cohort 30 team. The responsibilities include collaborating on the plan of care, coordinating and implementing care delivery, and anticipating patient needs. The nurse will analyze patient information to determine nursing diagnoses, continuously evaluate patient progress, and apply interventions for effective outcomes. Strategies to promote health and a safe environment will be employed. Additional duties may be assigned.

Requirements

LIC-Registered Nurse - Licensure-Others
Relevant Work Experience
Graduate of an approved discipline specific program
1 year of experience

Responsibilities

Applies the nursing process to plan and implement the care of patients, including patient and family education and continuum of care planning.
