About The Position

Vision Quest Solutions is seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) to provide pediatric inpatient nursing care in support of a federal healthcare mission serving a native population. This is a full-time inpatient hospital role in a pediatric and medical-surgical setting. Nurses in this role deliver direct patient care in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment where clinical skill, cultural respect, and teamwork are essential. RNs in this role provide comprehensive inpatient pediatric and medical-surgical nursing care, including: Assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care, Medication administration and IV therapy management, Monitoring and responding to changes in patient condition, Pediatric and adult medical-surgical patient support (including high-acuity cases), Participation in emergency response, Collaboration with providers and interdisciplinary care teams, Accurate and timely clinical documentation in electronic systems, Ensuring patient safety, infection control, and compliance with hospital protocols. Requirements

  • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in any U.S. state or territory
  • Minimum 2 years of pediatric nursing experience, including medical-surgical or inpatient hospital experience
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
  • Ability to pass required federal background investigation
  • Strong clinical judgment in acute care settings
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Ability to work in a culturally diverse environment with Native populations
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to comply with HIPAA, federal healthcare regulations, and facility protocols

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in inpatient pediatric or medical-surgical units
  • Experience in rural, critical access, or government healthcare settings
  • Familiarity with high-acuity monitoring, IV therapy, and pediatric respiratory care
  • Prior experience with IHS preferred, but not required
