About The Position

Shriners Children’s is seeking a full-time Pediatric RN, Inpatient to join their Portland, OR team. The registered professional nurse (RN) is accountable for the coordination of nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education and transitions of care. The RN supports professional nursing practice across practice settings and across the continuum of care to meet the needs of the patient and family.

Requirements

RN license in Oregon
Basic Life Support by start date (BLS, through American Heart Association only)
PALS - Obtain within 3 months of employment as required by hospital
2 years experience in Acute Care Nursing
Charge nurse exp

Responsibilities

Collects and analyzes assessment data to determine diagnosis/issues
Identifies expected outcomes and develops a plan that prescribes strategies which address health promotion and restoration, health maintenance, or health related problems or issues and alternatives to attain expected outcomes
Implements the identified plan and coordinates care delivery
Employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment
Integrates evidence and research findings into practice
May be required to perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
