Join UW Health | Carbone Cancer Center, the only comprehensive cancer center in Wisconsin designated by the National Cancer Institute, as a Registered Nurse. This role is on a 41-bed inpatient unit specializing in hematology, oncology, stem cell transplant, and palliative care. You will care for acutely ill patients undergoing complex treatments such as bone marrow, stem cell transplant, and cellular therapies (CAR T), as well as patients at end of life. The unit manages patients with leukemia, lymphoma, and solid tumor cancers, often dealing with complications like Graft-Versus-Host Disease. This position offers the opportunity to administer chemotherapy, assist with procedures, manage central lines and ports, and perform comprehensive patient assessments. You will be involved in cutting-edge, evidence-based therapies and research, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and lead practice change, with formal education provided to become an expert oncology RN.
