About The Position

Join a community-based oncology practice affiliated with a nationally recognized, NCI-designated cancer center. This small team includes an MD, an Advanced Practice Provider (APP), LPN, Ambulatory Tech, and three RNs. The infusion assignment involves a combination of hematology, oncology, monoclonal treatments, and non-oncology referral infusions.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of recent infusion experience is required.
• ONS chemotherapy/immunotherapy certification is mandatory.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required.
• Proficiency with Epic EMR and Alaris infusion pumps is necessary.
• Strong IV/vascular access and port access skills are essential.
• Excellent communication skills with patients, families, and the oncology care team are a must.
• Must possess a current, unencumbered New York State RN licensure.

Nice To Haves

• Outpatient clinic experience is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Administer infusions to a typical caseload of 8 patients per day.
• Provide chemotherapy teaching at the chairside.
• Coordinate patient care and manage a maximum daily infusion capacity of 24 patients.
