Registered Nurse (RN) - Infection Prevention
About The Position
Altamaha Health Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse - Infection Prevention to join their team. This role involves observing and implementing care for residents in a skilled nursing setting, ensuring continuity of care between shifts. The position requires performing professional nursing duties based on qualifications and training, as well as non-professional nursing duties as needed. The Registered Nurse will maintain quality resident care in accordance with established policies, procedures, Residents' Bill of Rights, and resident care policies. They will also set an example for other staff in areas of general hygiene, resident approach, and activities, and must maintain a pleasant, respectful, and courteous demeanor towards residents, families, visitors, and colleagues.
Requirements
- Valid Georgia Registered Nurse license in good standing
- Valid CPR certification
- Organized with a high level of attention to detail
- Desire to work with the elderly
- Ability to maintain confidentiality to ensure compliance with all HIPAA regulations
Responsibilities
- Observe and implement care of residents in a skilled nursing setting.
- Ensure continuing of care of residents between shifts.
- Perform professional nursing duties as determined by qualifications and training.
- Perform non-professional nursing duties as necessary.
- Maintain quality resident care in compliance with established policies and procedures, Residents' Bill of Rights and resident care policies.
- Set an example for professionals/non-professionals in areas of general hygiene, resident approach and activities.
- Be pleasant, respectful and courteous to residents, families, visitors and fellow employees at all times.
