About The Position

This is an RN III position in an outpatient Urology Office at St. Peter's Health Partner's in Albany, NY. The Registered Nurse (RN) plans and provides professional nursing services and standards of practice, integrating the art, science, leadership, and knowledge of nursing clinical practice through relationship-centered, compassionate, ethical, and respectful direct/indirect healthcare services. The role involves practicing in an environmentally safe and professional manner, promoting optimum physical and psychological behaviors, and influencing effective resource utilization. Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Valid RN licensure authorized in the applicable state(s) of practice / employment.
  • Valid driver’s license where required by assignment.

Nice To Haves

  • Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Specialty credentialing & educational degree according to clinical nursing practice specialty area.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and provide professional nursing services and standards of practice in accordance with experience, education, state board of nursing, and established policies and procedures.
  • Integrate nursing clinical practice through relationship-centered, compassionate, ethical, and respectful direct/indirect healthcare services.
  • Know, understand, incorporate, and demonstrate Trinity Health Mission, Values, Vision, Actions, and Promise in behaviors, practices, and decisions.
  • Practice in an environmentally safe and professional manner, monitoring and initiating corrections or evidence-based practices for equipment and material resources.
  • Promote optimum physical and psychological behaviors and influence effective, judicious, and financially responsible use of resources.
  • Maintain working knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws/regulations, Trinity Health Integrity & Compliance Program, and Code of Conduct.
  • Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and guidelines reflecting honest, ethical, professional behavior, and safe work practices.
  • Incorporate caring process (Caritas), advocacy, and appropriate resource utilization as an essential component of nursing practice.

  • Support the learning and development of other staff, learners, patients, families, and the community.
  • Apply the professional nursing process: Assess, Diagnose, Outcomes Identification/Solutions, Plan, Implement, Evaluate (document, teach, coordinate, advocate).
  • Act independently and appropriately within license, scope of knowledge, and experience in practice area.
  • Evolve with best evidence discoveries in practice.
  • Provide leadership and retain accountability for delegation, choices, decisions, and outcomes.
