About The Position

Registered Nurse II – Telemetry Department at Texas Health Kaufman. This role is full-time, 36 hours a week, with shifts typically Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., consisting of three 12-hour shifts per week. Self-scheduling is available. Employees are required to work 4-6 weekend shifts within each six-week scheduling period. The Telemetry Department is a 23-bed Med-Surg/Telemetry unit that offers self-scheduling for work/life balance and opportunities for educational and career growth. It also features a robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and an engaged leadership team. Texas Health Kaufman has served its communities since 1975 as an 81-bed, full-service hospital providing acute care. Services include orthopedic and general surgery, diagnostic imaging, outpatient physical therapy, respiratory care, nuclear medicine, and emergency services. The hospital is Joint Commission-certified and ANCC Pathway to Excellence recognized.

Requirements

  • 1 Year Experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program is required
  • RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire is required
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly is required
  • CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 days is required
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 Days is required
  • NRP - Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program 90 Days is required
  • PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support 90 Days is required OR ENPC - Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course 6 Months is required
  • TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course 12 months is required
  • A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Critical Care RN Certification a plus, but not required.
