About The Position

Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse II provides individualized, goal-directed patient care to patients and families at a competent level, using the principles and practices of the nursing process. The role delivers safe and effective care and works with other members of the health care team to achieve desired results. The position is with the Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA), in CV Surgery. A $18,000 sign-on bonus is offered.

Requirements

• Associate degree in nursing.
• Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or an AHA-recognized equivalent, or American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required.
• Ability to work rotating shifts and overtime as required.
• Ability to perform the physical and mental functions described in the posting, including standing, sitting, walking, lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds unassisted, and dealing effectively with stressful situations.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
