About The Position

Methodist Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse II for its Burn Unit. The nurse supports patients recovering from a variety of burn injuries, whose hospital stays may range from days to weeks. Working with a skilled multidisciplinary team, the nurse provides individualized, patient-centered care focused on comfort, safety, healing, and recovery, while supporting patients and families throughout their care journey.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse qualification; an associate degree, bachelor's degree, or registered nurse diploma is accepted.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of the employment start date.
• At least 6 months of RN acute care experience.
• No travel required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and their environment to identify changes, manage pain, and ensure safety.
• Perform procedures and administer medications, including pain relief and fluid therapy.
• Provide advanced wound care and dressing changes, monitor patient responses, and act promptly to promote healing and comfort.
• Educate and support patients and families so they can navigate recovery and make informed decisions.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver seamless, individualized, patient-centered care.
