About The Position

Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse provides individualized, goal-directed care to patients and families at a competent level, applying the principles and practices of the nursing process. The role delivers safe and effective care and works with other members of the health care team to achieve desired results. This is a PRN position in the PCU, with a choice of 24 or 48 hours per six-week period.

Requirements

• Associate degree in nursing.
• Registered nurse licensure from the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or an AHA-recognized equivalent, or American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Ability to work rotating shifts and overtime as required.
• Ability to perform the physical and mental functions described in the job posting, including standing, sitting, walking, lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds unassisted, and dealing effectively with stressful situations.
