About The Position

The Level II Registered Nurse, under the direction of the Nurse Manager, is accountable for provision of competent direct patient care based on established standards. The Level II Registered Nurse contributes to unit activities and supports enhancement of the care delivery system at the unit level. The Level II Registered Nurse supports peers in the delivery of patient care services and assumes an expanded role which may include charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member responsibilities. This is a part-time (24 hours/week) position available Monday – Friday – 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM (variable hours) in the Ambulatory Urology Department at offsite locations. This is a fast-paced clinical and procedural role within the Urology outpatient clinic, seeking a highly motivated professional for the telephone triage team. Responsibilities include clinical assessment, symptom management, patient education, addressing critical lab values, care coordination, and collaborating with urology provider teams. All nurses are trained in clinical and procedural areas to provide a strong knowledge base of Urology. This role may require some clinical coverage as determined by the department's needs. The successful candidate must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, be autonomous in decision-making, and have excellent assessment skills. Requirements

  • NYS licensure required.
  • At least 1 year of relevant nursing experience preferred.
