About The Position

Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center is hiring an experienced OR Nurse for the Operating Room. This is a full-time, day shift position. The primary duties include assessing/admitting patients, rounding checks, giving medications, talking with family members, and being responsible for the overall care of your patients. The Operating Room department is a rapidly growing level 3 Trauma Center looking to support community needs. Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center is a 183-bed not-for-profit hospital that combines the resources of a major health system with the compassionate, personalized care of a community hospital. Requirements

  • Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire
  • 1 year of operating room, circulating, surgery experience required

  • PERIOP 101: TARGET APPLICANT: This 15-week long Operating Room (OR) Internship is for new graduate nurses, experienced nurses wishing to change specialties, or foreign OR nurses transitioning to OR nursing in the US.
