About The Position
Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center is hiring an (Experienced OR Nurse) for the Operating Room. This position is Full Time & Day shift. As a Registered Nurse with Sentara, you can excel in your career. There are many different specialties where you can perform and grow your nursing skills in areas of interest to you. This position's primary duties include assessing/admitting patients, rounding checks, giving medications, talking with family members, and being responsible for the overall care of your patients. You will find that teamwork is exceptional, with everyone working together to ensure the best care for our patients. The Operating Room is rapidly growing as a level 3 Trauma Center, looking to support the community needs.
Requirements
- 1 year of operating room, circulating, surgery experience required
- Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire
- RN-Associate’s Degree, or RN-Bachelor’s Degree, or RN-Diploma, or RN-Master’s Degree

- PERIOP 101: TARGET APPLICANT: This 15-week long Operating Room (OR) Internship is for new graduate nurses, experienced nurses wishing to change specialties, or foreign OR nurses transitioning to OR nursing in the US.
